A Follow-up Post

Remember my post, "Just Trying to Do the Right Thing"? I suppose I should update on that situation.

That sweet little kitty ended up making it. I went and visited her at the Cat House, and it was obvious she was doing well. I hadn't seen her look that good since she first showed up, and she had just had a major surgery!

I brought her home on a Monday, after she spent Friday - Sunday being cared for after her surgery. I set her up a space in the spare room, and kept her separated from the other cats for a few days. After awhile, I let her meet everyone. She hates the other cats. She hisses at them, growls at them, and picks fights with them. Even today, over a month later, she hates the others. She's incredibly clingy, loving, and sweet to us. We did not plan on keeping her, as we already have three of our own. However, she ended up squirreling her way into Ben's heart and now she's our cat.

The biggest struggle we faced with her was getting her out of the spare room and into using the items the other cats use. The issue is that the litter box and food are kept by the windows that separate the house from the back yard. Blitz goes nuts when he sees her. He does NOT like her. He jumps at the windows and barks. So for a long time, she wouldn't share with the other cats. FINALLY she branched out (once we took away the second set of everything).

Now we're a house of four cats and one spoiled dog. (Oh, and two fish).

I'm snuggly and invasive!
