Normally I get sad that he's gone, and spend the weekend in seclusion at my home, organizing or cleaning. This weekend, however, I decided to do the opposite. All spring break long I had worked 8 - 12, then came home to work on school work and try to catch up. I wanted to have some fun, damnit!
So Friday I got my hair blown out, bought a new outfit, made myself up and met the photographer on campus at 6PM. I've never had photos done before, so it was a bit awkward at first. He was super cool and helpful and I felt at ease pretty quickly.
After the shoot, I went and met Jackie at BJs. I have literally known Jackie since pre-school. We were friends throughout our adolescence, but lost touch a bit once her family moved to a neighboring town. However, thanks to MySpace and Facebook, we begun to reconnect. So we caught up on what's going on in our lives over drinks and appetizers. Then she had a bit too much to drink so her boyfriend came and picked her up and we all came to hang out at my place. It was just really great getting to see her and meet her new man.
Saturday I vegged out all morning long, then took Blitz to the dog park for four hours. That boy loves playing with the other dogs (finally!). Even after all that time playing, he still evaded me once he knew I was wanting to take him home. That evening, Rocio came over and we had dinner in the Tower, hung out, and gossiped / caught up over drinks.
For Easter, Ben made his famous potato dish and we had dinner at my parents' place.
Then the week from hell started. Four mid-terms in one week. I about had a melt-down. At 12:15 yesterday, however, I was done. I am done with mid-terms FOREVER. I have one term paper to knock out (hopefully this weekend). Up next: finals. Finally. Then graduation. It's so close and I'm so freaked out!
Ben's family are all in town. His sister is here from L.A., his other sister is here from England with her husband, and his dad is coming from Tiburon today. They rented a cabin in shaver so we're headed there when Ben gets off work tonight. There should be TONS of fresh snow.
And finally, I leave you with "This Week in Instagram"
