If I can describe to you one of the best days of my life in recent memory, it would be in October 2009 when Ben and I were in Vegas to see Brand New and Manchester Orchestra at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.
I had been into them for years, and they hadn't put out a CD in awhile so they hadn't been on tour since I found out about them. Then they were and I got tickets to see them in Vegas.
They blew me away live. I was even more emotional than I feel when I hear their CDs. A few annoyances were that EVERYONE knew the songs, lyrics, and felt it necessary to sing along. The other annoyance is that they play small venues ONLY and so it's general admission (ie STANDING only). I've never done that before, so the being pushed and shoved and bumped caught up to me in time. I moved us to the back and I was able to enjoy the show just the same, only without being annoyed.
That night I fell in love with Manchester Orchestra and even more in love with Brand New.
A few months ago I got a notice that they are playing in San Francisco. Unfortunately it was the weekend after we were going for the FSU vs CAL game. Two weekends in a row to SF? Who cares? It's Brand New! So we're going tomorrow, and I hope it touches me in the same way it touched me two years ago. I simply cannot wait to see them again.

That sounds like fun! You should meet up with Libbi while you are there!
