Weekend Fun

Last weekend was so much fun. On Friday, Cassandra invited us to join in their group for a big Teppan Yaki dinner at my favorite place, Edo Ya. We had so much fun and the food was delicious. Unfortunately it took the cook so long to come over to us, that we ended up being there super late. Ben hit a wall so we just came home afterward.

Saturday we went to the Construction Management tailgate and Fresno State game. I got to bring my friend, Rocio, who I don't get to see that often. The tailgate was fun. Ben and I tore up the trivia and won Starbucks and Target gift cards. I almost felt a bit guilty, but it's not our fault those kids don't know how many gallons fit in a keg or what Sam Adam's strongest beer is!

Rocio and I. Excuse my look.
Ben got on this huge high-five kick. Rocio and I kept coming up with scenarios and he kept completing them. "I bet you can't get a high-five from a kid." "I bet you can't get a high-five from that gangster." "I bet you can't get two at a time." "I bet you can't get one from that guy driving the golf cart." It was hilarious. Try telling Ben he can't do something, sometime :)

The game was awful. Fresno State sucks right now. After about half-way through the first quarter, we decided to leave and go to Ben's favorite bar. It was fun there, but we decided it was time to head home. Upon arriving at the parking lot, we came across a lady asking directions. Ben and Rocio disagreed on what the exit was called, exactly, so they insisted we drive and see. Which we did. And then we ended up at yet another bar. We drank and played pool and hung out with the awesome bartender. It was really a great, random evening.

Sunday Ben and I went to the Home Improvement show at the fairgrounds. We found some really great gadgets and had a nice time chatting with various vendors. It was actually quite a bit more fun than I thought it would be. They had a hot dog stand there and we ordered "monster" corn dogs. they weren't kidding. The corn dogs with like 2' long. It was scary. I have a picture but I'm too embarrassed to post. Think Michele Bachmann, only smarter :)

Last night we had our first fire of the season. I can't wait to have many, many more!
